TALK, PLAY, & GROW
CLASSES FOR LITTLE ONES & LOVED ONES

Talk, Play, & Grow is a fun and engaging program designed to support early language development through play, movement, and social interaction with both child and loved one! Led by our experienced professionals, each class is tailored to your child’s age and developmental stage, helping them build communication skills while exploring movement and sensory play.

Each class is 60 minutes in length with 4-6 children and their loved ones present.

Each class includes: welcome and introductions, circle time with themed-songs and/or nursery rhymes, themed story time, themed activity with play-based learning, sensory play and/or motor exploration, and ending with a goodbye song/activity and take-home tip/handout for caregiver.

Playing with Toys

First Words and Wiggles
for children 12 to 17 months old

First Words & Wiggles is a class for children 12 to 17 months of age focused on increasing joint attention and turn-taking skills, providing tips of turning babbling into first words, teaching basic gestures ​(e.g. waving, pointing, clapping), and providing opportunities for early fine and gross motor exploration (e.g. turning book pages, scribbling using crayons, walking, running, climbing, etc.)​. 

Each class is based on seasonal themes and provides a helpful handout for caregivers to take home for continued learning ideas.

Baby with Hearing Aid

Little Talkers & Movers
for children 18 to 23 months old

Little Talkers & Movers is a class for children 18 to 23 months of age focused on teaching functional vocabulary (e.g., no, yes, all done, more, open, etc.), copying fine and gross motor actions & gestures, and providing opportunities for fine and gross motor exploration (e.g. playing with playdoh, scribbling using crayons, using paint dotters, running, climbing, sliding, etc.)​. 

Each class is based on seasonal themes and provides a helpful handout for caregivers to take home for continued learning ideas.

Chat & Play
for children 2 years old

Chat & Play is a class for children 2 years of age focused on increasing vocabulary of nouns and verbs, consistently combining 2+ word utterances, answering simple yes/no questions about a story read, and providing opportunities for fine and gross motor exploration​ (e.g. sorting small objects in containers, building towers, zipping zippers, climbing, squatting, jumping, etc.). 

Each class is based on seasonal themes and provides a helpful handout for caregivers to take home for continued learning ideas.

Talk, Play, & Pretend
for children 3 years old

Talk, Play, & Pretend is a class for children 3 years of age focused on learning how to describe using new adjectives, combining 3-4 word sentences, answering wh- questions (e.g. who, what, where) about a story read, engaging in collective pretend play (e.g. grocery shopping, gardening, driving a bus, etc.), and providing opportunities for fine and gross motor exploration​ (e.g. drawing, opening containers, balancing, hopping, throwing, building, etc.).

Talk, Move, & Imagine
for children 4 years old

Talk, Move, & Imagine is a class for children 4 years of age focused on learning words to describe where or when, identifying characters, setting, problem, and solution about a story read, following directions and rules for organized games, and providing opportunities for fine and gross motor exploration​ (e.g. tracing, cutting, copying letters/shapes, balancing, throwing, catching, etc.).
